Synopsis
Purchased by the demons of drink and madness, Branwell Brontë created a private world that was infernal. As a bold and talented child, he promised to be free from the government that his three sisters exercised over him, even though they adored him. But as an adult, the flame of the early genius twisted and turned off. Unable to sell his paintings or publish his books, and without the strength and resources to fight rejection, Branwell became a ghost in pathetic contrast to the amazing achievements of Charlotte, Emily and Anne.
