Synopsis
Under the floor of the Vatican City, locked between codicates in her office of the Secret Archive, sister Ottavia Salina, a paleographer of international prestige, is charged with deciphering the strange tattoos that appear on an Ethiopian's body: seven Greek letters and seven crosses. Three pieces of apparently worthless wood were found next to the body. All suspicions are directed to the fact that relics actually belong to the Vera Cross, the true cross of Christ.
