Jusep Torres Campalans
Original title: Jusep Torres Campalans
Synopsis
In this work Max Aub presents us with the imaginative life of Jusep Torres Campalans, a Cuban painter invented by the author and who managed to pass as true to criticism as a literary joke. The character admires Picasso and detests Juan Gris. The author accompanies the biography of Jusep Torres with bibliographic data, chronologies, even photographs of the artist and samples of the work he was preparing for an alleged exhibition at the Tate Gallery.
