Synopsis
In this novel Dumas portrays with mastery the intrigues of the French court using as a starting stage the sponges of the Infanta Margarita or Margot de Valois and one of the most bloody episodes in history: the massacre of the Night of San Bartolomé, which culminated in the mass murder of Hugonotes.
