Synopsis
The action takes place mainly in Rome, a city with a population characterized by a wide variety of nationalities and social classes. The main action takes place during the last six years of the administration of the Emperor Nero (63-66 d. C.) while the action of the epilogo, for its part, takes place around the year 68 d. C. The events that allow us to delimit the time of action are the arrival of Ventro in Rome after the establishment of peace with Armenia (year 63 d. C.), the fire of Rome (year 64 d. C.), the death of Petronio (year 66 d. C.) and the death of Nero (year 68 d. C.).
