The Secret of Blue Beard
Original title: Secreto de Barba Azul, el
Synopsis
"An impartial book and a beautiful literary page" is the judgment with which a writer as circumspect as "Azorín" sums up his study of THE SECRET OF BARBA AZUL, which many consider the first-time work of Fernández Flórez.
The fineness of observation and the flare of ingenuity that it reveals, its overflowing and tenuous humorism constitute the main qualities of this novel, which does not age; which, despite the variety of tastes and orientations that the succession of years imposes, continues to be read and requested with the same desire, and that it will live with the same lozania, because it is fully accomplished, and the perfect never ceases.
