Synopsis
First, Marian De Rosa, Milanese, owner of an art gallery, an elegant and experienced woman, an authentic femme fatale to which Montalbano immediately falls. In his inner court, Salvo knows that his attraction to Marian is not an adventure; it is something different, like an invisible force that disrupts him and threatens to disrupt his lucidity. Livia becomes just one voice on the other side of the phone and Salvo is unable to be honest with her, using tactics and subterfuges to postpone a decision. And while it is discussed in the whirlwind of his feelings, three important cases require his attention: on the one hand, the young wife of Salvatore di Marta, the owner of a supermarket, is the victim of a robbery; on the other, two Tunisians working on an agricultural farm disappear in what appears to be a matter of arms trafficking; and finally, a criminal operation of high flights lands in Vigita.
