The Assassin's Riddle
Original title: The Assassin's Riddle
Synopsis
During the summer of 1380, the body of the young scribe of the Chancellery of the Green Wax, Edwin Chapler is found in the waters of the Thames. Shortly after, the implacable usurper Bartholomew Drayton appears dead in his inextricable accounts. How did they get to kill him? Who's the killer? Do both of you have a relationship? Sir John Craston and Fra Athelstan are commissioned to investigate the murders, first of a series of deaths in which the killer was a macabre party with the victims and with the talent of Fra Athelstan himself.
